Event Manager

Description:

Having managed live music venues, I decided to create an application that allows to manage the upcoming events at a venue. The aim is to have all the imporatant information easily available for the staff working on the night as well as in advance of the show (e.g. booking sound and light engineers as required).

What I learned:

During this project, I learnt how to design a database using Microsoft SQL Management Studio, how to interact with a database from a webpage. I also learnt to create a business layer and reference it in the web application.

Future Scope:

It would be interesting to add an artist table in order to keep the contact details for each band and add the possibility to choose from the available bands when creating a line up.
